Has anyone else had carpal tunnel really bad during pregnancy? My wrists hurt so bad when I wake up in the morning and at night. I'm fine during the day (although they still ache). My doctor said it would go away after I deliver.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to help this weird symptom? I tried some hand massages and they really didn't help much.
Thanks ahead of time for your help!
Re: Carpal Tunnel in Wrists (31w4d)
I had carpal tunnel when I was pregnant. My mom had some wrist guard things that her dr. had given her for her carpal tunnel that she lent me to wear at night. I'd ask your dr. about getting some of those - or think you can get them at a drugstore.
Luckily after delivery it went away. Although now that I'm working and typing all day again I notice it once in a while. (or perhaps it's too much Bump time)

Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!
I had it and I found if I stayed really well hydrated it helped a bit. The less water I drank, the more I swelled and the more my joints ached. There isn't much else that can be done but the good news is it was literally gone the day after delivery. That next day I told my doctor "I can feel my fingertips again!" because mine had gotten to the point of causing numbness.
