2nd Trimester

So. Cal Mommas - come in please!

I haven't posted on this board yet, but thought this may reach a broader group of women... I will be moving in about a month/month and a half from Nor. Cal to So. Cal (Oceaside, specifically) and wondering if there are any recs for an OB/midwife? My insurance is through BlueCross and I"m currently w/ Sutter up here and LOVE them. They've got an amazing staff and equally amazing birthing center. Any reccomendations, or places to warn me to stay away from? Thank you in advance - I"m going in blind!

  • I'm further up than Oceanside but I visit down there a lot :)
I have BlueCross and I go to John Muir, I highly recommend them
I've gone to them since I got broken bones in middle school. My physician is also from John Muir and I love her.
My SO's mother works at the John Muir near us so my SO's been going to John Muir since he was little. He's very healthy, whether or not that has to do with the doctor, I can't say. But I'm very happy with them.

if you can find a John Muir nearby I'd go with them

  • I have Kaiser this pregnancy, but with DD I had blue cross and saw Dr. May at Orange Coast Womens Medical Center.  He was so fantastic!  I switched OBs half way through my pregnancy, so I really did my research.  He comes highly recommended.  It might be a bit of a trek from Oceanside, though.  Hope you find someone you love.  And good luck moving.
