what do you ladies do when you're just not feeling it? Typically I just get uncomfortable at night so I take a bath and go to bed. But the further I get along in this pregnancy the more I'm having a hard time staying comfortable and I'm a raging B when I'm uncomfortable.
So what do you ladies do to stay comfortable!!!??
Re: What do you do when you're uncomfortable?
Haha, I was going to say this. I also eat ice pops. They are my salvation (at least temporarily).
This. I don't remember the last time I was totally comfortable....
Yup.
I was going to reply, "Complain," but you beat me to it.

I complain to anyone who is within earshot. Then I remember how lucky I am to be pregnant, feel guilty and I try to STFU.
My latest discomfort is pelvic pain. I should take some Tylenol for that but I try so hard not to take any drugs. Icing my pubic bone helps.
My other major discomfort is hip pain from sleeping on my left side. I feel like my reflux and breathing are better when I'm on my left but I wake up with crazy crampy hips. Last night I got a body pillow and some extra mattress padding. Those seemed to help a bit. If I cna't endure it for the rest of pregnancy I'm considering buying a recliner to sleep in - though I'd be sleeping semi-sitting up rather than on my left side.
It depends what is making me uncomfortable. If it's back pain, I try to stretch it out. If it's just overall likely nothing. Sometimes I'll go for a walk if it's not too hot. But, those days are few and far between now.
I just ate two ice cream sandwiches...they were good while they lasted. Now I am back to being uncomfortable. *shrug*
I whine to myself since I don't want to b!tch to other people. Unless someone asks me how I'm feeling...then it's free game, and I just run at the mouth all the things that are making me feel like crap. :P
Right now, my biggest issue is the heat - it's apparently 114 outside right now, which is going to be awesome to walk in when I get off work [sarcasm]. So I'll go home, eat a pint of ice cream, turn on as many fans as I can while running the A/C for a bit, and wear as little clothes as possible. In this type of heat, it's nearly impossible to get my apartment down to a comfortable temperature without risking a $300 electric bill.
Same here.
I'd been dealing with lower back pain and stiffness/aching for months. I was having the tail bone pain, too (the bruised feeling). I finally broke down and went to a chiropractor yesterday and I am back pain-free. I honestly had forgotten what it felt like to be without it. Highly recommend.
Exactly.

This. It also seems to be the trend.

I would love to lay on the couch and do nothing but relax (which would really help) but with the kids, the horses, and the dogs I just can't seem to make it there until at least 9pm. But complaining seems to help a little bit....
Cry and pray the days fly by?
Try to sit down, get my feet up, drink water with lemons (seems to ease the bloat a little?)
(read it. you know you want to.)

This echo's how I have been feeling over the last couple of weeks. Some days I just close all the blinds in my house and walk around in my underwear. It actually really helps. It keeps me cool and feels good. My three old is picking up on in though and wants to do it too which is kind of amusing, she call is it our underwear parties. Won't sound good if she talks about this in public. :P
Today I was feeling really off and had bad cramps in my legs from a rough night last night. I found that walking on my treadmill (yes in my underwear!) for about 10-15 minutes at really slow pace helped a lot. I was surprised how good I felt after. I think I am going to do more of these mini walks in the future to help.
Exactly this! LOL
This. Pretty much all the time. When my husband isn't around, I whine to my child. His sympathetic nod and pat is pretty dang impressive for a two year old.
Ha! This.
First, I biitch and complain about it. Then I feel even worse because I sound ungrateful, which I'm not. Lastly, I do something about it.
Anyway, my biitch is lack of sleep, hips hurting, and feeling like I'm about to spontaneously combust. Sleep, I can't do anything about, nothing seems to work, so I just do it when my stupid body lets me. Hips, I sit on a the bouncy ball and alternately do slow, wide circles and faster, smaller circles, or I'll have DH rub the area that hurts. To beat the heat, I go around the house practically naked all day, take cool showers, have the fans going, drink cold water, and help myself to the freezer gel packs throughout the day.
Wish like heck I could have a nice glass of Chardonnay. Then, go get a blue bullet outta the freezer...
