Since I am up and everyone is probably sleeping I'll get the board rolling this morning. First off Happy Hump Day! 2 days till the weekend whoo hooo
Since today is my anniversary I will make this GTKY about anniversaries.
1.. When is your wedding anniversary? Dating? Other special moments you celebrate?
2. How do you normally celebrate?
3. Do you plan on ever renewing your vows?
4. Do you buy each other presents? Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc)
5. Will you do something big/extra special on your 5th, 10, 15th, 20th, 50ths etc?
6. If you could travel one place for your anniversary regardless of money/time where would you go?

1.. When is your wedding anniversary? Dating? Other special moments you celebrate? Wedding: 8/1 Dating 1/9 though we don't really do anything special and haha I know the date we DTD for the first time randomly
2. How do you normally celebrate? Sometimes we take a trip and other times it is very low key. This year as it falls on a Wed we are just grilling and finally watching our wedding video that we have yet to watch.
3. Do you plan on ever renewing your vows? I don't think so but in MH culture you do this at your 12.5 anniversary.
4. Do you buy each other presents? Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc) Sometimes we exchange gifts, sometimes not. We talk about it beforehand and right now we are saving for a trip so no presents. We don't really follow the traditional list though our 1st anniversary I got a plane ticket (paper) to Iceland. I look at them and see if it fits at all.
5. Will you do something big/extra special on your 5th, 10, 15th, 20th, 50ths etc? For your 5th or 10th we are going to back to where we got married to just relax. I had a DW. Not sure about other big ones. Probably travel some place.
6. If you could travel one place for your anniversary regardless of money/time where would you go?
Maldives or some place in the south pacific or maybe a cruise to Antarctica
and eat here
7. Has your SO/H ever forgot your anniversary? nope, that's why I picked the 1st of the month
8. What is the best gift you have gotten/given for an anniversary? Plane ticket to Iceland. Was on my bucket list

2. How do you normally celebrate? I think for our first anniversary, we went out with our parents. And, well, we haven't had our 2nd one yet, so I guess we'll see
3. Do you plan on ever renewing your vows? Maybe at 25 years. Even though I think it would be fun to just have a small ceremony in Vegas if we ever go there. We wouldn't invite anyone unless they came with for the trip.
4. Do you buy each other presents? Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc) We usually do cards and DH buys me flowers. But we also just buy things randomly. DH is buying me a new bike as my "we bought a house" gift, lol.
5. Will you do something big/extra special on your 5th, 10, 15th, 20th, 50ths etc? I'd love to take a trip. Maybe start with something small and gradually work our way up to more distant places.
6. If you could travel one place for your anniversary regardless of money/time where would you go? Fiji, definitely
7. Has your SO/H ever forgot your anniversary? Our dating anniversary, yes. But he randomly remembered when it had bee our 6 month dating anniversary and make a big to-do about it. It was very sweet.

1.. When is your wedding anniversary? Dating? Other special moments you celebrate? wedding, Sept 17. Neither of us know our dating anniversary but know it's sometime in beginning of Dec.
2. How do you normally celebrate? This will be our first coming up! We're going to go for a long weekend in Deep Creek with our fur babies! Before we were married we'd use our dating anniversary as an excuse to go out to eat...our favorite activity

4. Do you buy each other presents? Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc) We normally don't do presents for occassions. We'll do random gifts when we see something that each other would like.

Good morning and Happy Hump Day everyone!
1.. When is your wedding anniversary? Dating? Other special moments you celebrate? Wedding is 8/4, dating is 8/1. We celebrate 8 years together today!!!! And 5 years married this Saturday.
2. How do you normally celebrate? Depends, this weekend we're going out to lunch at a really nice (read: expensive) restaurant and just spending the day together. Normally we would go to dinner or something.
3. Do you plan on ever renewing your vows? I don't know. Maybe eventually, but not something I'm thinking about or planning on now.
4. Do you buy each other presents? Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc) We don't usually do presents, just cards and maybe something small like flowers. We focus on spending time together rather than spending money. Also, see #8.
5. Will you do something big/extra special on your 5th, 10, 15th, 20th, 50ths etc? See above. I hope that when we get to our 10th and beyond for the 'big' ones we could maybe go on some nice trips.
6. If you could travel one place for your anniversary regardless of money/time where would you go? Greece or Italy
7. Has your SO/H ever forgot your anniversary? Never!
8. What is the best gift you have gotten/given for an anniversary? On our first anniversary DH bought a plaque that we engrave each year with one big thing that happened to us or occurred in our relationship. It's nice because each year around the time of our anniversary we sit down and talk about the past year and what we want to put on the plaque. This year we'll be putting something about buying our first home last November!

2. How do you normally celebrate? low key. we've had bad february's the past few years, so not much. I was high on percocet recovering from surgery for this one, which was totally awesome

4. Do you buy each other presents? Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc) yes and yes! the traditional gifts are fun

2. How do you normally celebrate? We are only coming up on our second anniversary, but our plan for every year is to go out to a really nice dinner on the actual day and then go to a different college football game around the same time. There are so many different schools we want to visit, and we both love football! (for the record, this was totally my idea and I like to take full credit for it
3. Do you plan on ever renewing your vows? I haven't really thought about it... Maybe for a big anniversary, like 20 years or something.

Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc) We didn't last year, and I don't think we will normally - I wouldn't mind hinting to him to go for a nice gift on the "big" anniversaries (5, 10, etc). I did tell DH that this year I am buying us a joint gift and getting one of our wedding pictures made into a big canvas print to put in our bedroom.
5. Will you do something big/extra special on your 5th, 10, 15th, 20th, 50ths etc? I don't know... I would love to do a vacation for our 5th, but that will just depend on our money situation and all that when the time comes.
6. If you could travel one place for your anniversary regardless of money/time where would you go? This is hard because there are so many places I want to go... I would probably say somewhere in Europe because DH has never been overseas and I think he would love to go there and see a lot of the historic sites.

Thanks! I love it too. At the top of the plaque it says "Years of our Love". It hangs in our bedroom where we can both see it and be reminded of all we have overcome and accomplished together.

1.. When is your wedding anniversary? Dating? Other special moments you celebrate? Wedding anniversary is 08-08-08 so we are about to celebrate our 4th year! Happy anniversary to you too
2. How do you normally celebrate? It changes each year but we always make sure to look through our wedding album together and watch our video. This year we are going down to Laguna Beach. My mom and dad are going to watch DD so we can stay in a hotel for a night and have a day to ourselves. I can't wait to relax by the beach!
3. Do you plan on ever renewing your vows? I think it could be neat but it would be at a big year like 25th anniversary or something

6. If you could travel one place for your anniversary regardless of money/time where would you go? Again, Paris. We have both wanted to go. We would also love wine tasting in Italy. Sighhhhhh
7. Has your SO/H ever forgot your anniversary? Nope. But it's an easy one to remember and he knows how sentimental I am. So far so good
8. What is the best gift you have gotten/given for an anniversary? I did this ink art in a frame all about him. The detail in it took forever and you have to really look at it to see all the things. There's everything from a SCUBA diver to a guitar and words that are meaningful to him.
9. Anything you would like to add dealing with anniversaries. Well technically our first celebration was our honeymoon. We went to Jamaica to Sandals. All inclusive rocks! And we went SCUBA diving and saw and 8 ft reef shark!

2. How do you normally celebrate? Dinner either home or out to eat and then we take a day trip.
3. Do you plan on ever renewing your vows? Yes probably at 5 years. We didn't have a wedding (We went to the JP) so we plan to have a real wedding for our renewal ceremony.
4. Do you buy each other presents? Do you follow the traditional list (ie paper, wood, etc) Umm we buy stuff but it is practical. Nothing huge, like this year B got me a pair of Steelers flip flops and white ones for on the boat and flowers and a card.
