I knew it meant having sex but I didn't know that's what it meant! Why would anyone want to use BD? Sex is not a bad word but baby dance just sounds stupid to me.

I've heard a few people say they think of it as "big deed." I always heard baby dancing. Either way, it does sound stupid.
I always picture the baby from Ally McBeal, and it just seems silly.

And women who are waiting to O and stuck in the 2WW have nothing better to do than make up acronyms for stuff so that they can save 1 keystroke, then turn around and use up 50 extra keystrokes to explain it to others.

No need to be crabby. I just think it is an odd term to use on a website that is supposed to be scientifically based.

Weird response. I don't think she was being crabby at all.

Haha, I will make sure to put a smiley at the end of my responses in case there is any further confusion.
Sorry, OP, the bump lingo has always amused me, as does the whole spin off language of TTC. I really do think that it spawned from a bunch of women sitting around trying to fill up time and wanted to make the TTC world a super secret society.
Re: What is "BD"?
Baby dancing
Ahhhhh thanks. I never would have guessed that one.

The Bump glossary says Big Deed, but people always say BDing (which doesn't make sense). I assumed it was Bone Dance before I looked it up.
Because BD is TTC lingo.

Agreed! It sort of skeeves me out in a way I cannot explain.
LOL - ladies on the bump are now going to be shouting out to their potential baby daddies - "Honeyyyyy, it's big d!ck time!"
