Hi out there!
I have been enjoying the summer by going for 3 km bike rides every 2-3 days but now that im newly pregnant, im kinda scared to. I did go tonight but only a short little ride, am i just being paranoid??? or is riding a bike ok?? I would like to think its good for you and baby cause it keeps the blood flowing and exercise produces more oxygen... but i dont know what to think now. Guess i can ask my dr but im turning to you wonderful ladies first.
Thanks!

With one caveat.... that its safe and you are not likely to fall. I surf and play ice hockey. Two things that I'm not allowed to continue during pregnancy. I'm continuing with running, cycling, and swimming tho.
I actually ran a 5K 5 days after my BFP. I was just told to make sure I kept my heart rate in moderation. I was paranoid, so I did the race extra slow, but might invest in a heart rate monitor once I get out of this nasty first trimester, so I can feel more confident when running.
You don't need a heart monitor. Most doctors agree that advice is way outdated. Moderate excercise is not only safe its strongly reccomended. The key is to listen to your body if it hurts stop. My doctor said a good rule of thumb is that if your too out of breath to speak a simply 5 syllable sentence (think; "my name is sally") then your working too hard
Good point. I obviously couldn't go snowboarding while PG, but I probably would go cross-country skiing since there's a slim chance of falling.
