Ds will occasionally take a pacifier but most of the time if he gets really upset, bfing is the only thing that calms him down quickly. I have less than 2 weeks before I go to work, and I'm nervous about him starting at the babysitter and getting upset and not wanting the pacifier. I guess this is just a vent, but have any of your LOs gone to dc with this issue and did it work out? I'm hoping when he's not with me, he'll be comforted by the pacifier.
Re: Bfing=pacifier and starting daycare
I think that you will find this is the case. When DD wants to BF, and she is with me, nothing else will satisfy her. She is much more willing to go with the flow if she is with my DH or DCP.
Your DS will be ok. He is smart and he knows that when you're around, he can nurse. When you're not around, he'll know that isn't an option and will likely be more accepting of the pacifier.
