So tired

Any one else really tired all the time?

I take a nap on my lunch break every day (usually about a 40 mins nap). By the time I am off work, it is all I can do to keep my eyes open. I usually fall asleep right when I get home. DH is being awesome and watching little man, but I feel like I am missing out on the little guy. Today I went to sleep right when I got home. DH woke me up to say goodnight to DS when he went to bed. Then I woke up an hour later to pee and get a drink. I've been up for 10 mins and want to sleep already.

I called the OB on Friday and they told me it was normal. I don't think it's normal though and it's gonna be a long week and a half until my first appointment.

Re: So tired

  • I've been a zombie the past couple of weeks, I've been so tired I just want to cry when I wake up.  Finally took a nap during my work lunch, I think I'm going to continue doing that till I'm better.  I think it's totally normal this early in the game.

  • I AM EXHAUSTED!
  • Yep.  Same here.  If I don't nap at least once when DS is napping I cannot function.

  • I spent weeks 4-7 completely EXHAUSTED. I could barely get off the couch. At my first appointment, the Dr. recommended some new prenatal vitamins that have a higher dosage of B6 (25mg+). It has really helped!  Check the label on your vitamins. I am definitely not back to having my normal energy level, but I am able to push through the day without napping. Good luck!

  • I think definitely normal, especially early on.  I have had the same thing, but I also found out at my first appointment that my iron was low which can really make you tired.  That is not a huge deal, but it is something to be aware of and try to correct as the pregnancy goes on, so you may want to have them check that out when you go in (blood test).  Good luck!
