Since I know some of you are Pinterest addicts like me, I thought it would be fun to compare which projects we loved and which we did not love.
So share your Pinterest wins and fails below. (For the fails, I suggest linking to the pin, and not directly to the blog, as clicky links are traceable by the bloggers and I don't want to hurt anyone's feeling.)
Re: Pinterest - Wins and Fails
Oh hellz to the no, Pinterest is now blocked. When did this happen?
Well my win was going to be these yummy chocolate mug cakes we made last night. Om nom nom! (Although it's a little scary knowing that I can now make chocolate cake in my microwave anytime I like!) I will have to come back tonight and post the link.
My recent fails were an icky breakfast "cookie" I pinned from a healthy living blog, and a t-shirt to tank top DIY project that didn't look as cute as it did online.
Great idea!
FAIL: Dried strawberries. Were supposed to taste like candy. In fact, tasty like mushy, hot strawberries. https://pinterest.com/pin/160300067956817955/
WIN: Monterey Chicken. This is absolutely delicious. https://pinterest.com/pin/62768988526423348/
Pinterest is blocked for me here too so I will try to add my links later:
WIN: Cookies/PB Cup/Brownie combos in a muffin tin-OMG delish
FAIL: For mother's day I did photo collages on painted terra cotta pots-they came super cute until water collected in the drip tray and then the pictures got all smear-y even though they had like 5 coats of acrylic coat on them = (
I haven't had really any fails...been pretty lucky.
We have done a ton of Pinterest stuff, lots of crafts, cooking, cleaning tips. Some of my most recent faves....links are to my own blog.
Xander's sandpaper and iron rainbow Bday shirt. https://tripmomma.blogspot.com/2012/06/xanders-birthday-digs.html
The girls patchwork rainbow dresses for their Bday. https://tripmomma.blogspot.com/2012/05/dresses-are-done-man.html
The rainbow cake...and frosting, oh my gosh this will be our go to frosting from now on, and I usually HATE all kinds of frosting. The crock pot mini meatballs were amazing too. https://tripmomma.blogspot.com/2012/07/burning-midnight-oilagain.html
The chalkboard paint fingerprint decorated clay thank you pots we made for the trio's teachers were a huge hit. https://tripmomma.blogspot.com/2012/06/terra-cotta-thank-you.html
And so many more LOL. I am a total addict
You totally need to link the texas toast french toast from your blog-I saw it at Easter time and we tried it-it's a huge hit and a regular staple for Sunday morning breakfasts!
Why can't I link to pinterest from here? So weird...maybe the site is just acting up today.
Wins:
-Watermellen's Mama Blog's caramel pretzel bark...made it 2x already! Delicious and impressive to bring somewhere.
-my Elephant collage
Fails: Nothing yet! I'm a lucky pinner. Also, I tend to pin more products than projects, so I tend to just buy stuff, which I really can't fail at.
YAYYAAYAYAYYY!!
My little man at 0-1-2
You cant joke about this! I almost had an heartattack! I quickly checked the website - and it is there

Oh, no, I should clarify. Blocked at my office only.
Ah yes...you are right! We have had it 2-3 more times since then too...it is yummy
Pre-made night before, oven bake morning of french toast! https://tripmomma.blogspot.com/2012/04/that-bunny-may-be-ok-after-all.html
Fails:
Jello cookies: tasted like play dough
Crockpot Sour cream and bacon chicken: just nasty
Wins:
Baked fried chicken
Crockpot french dip
Cinnamon swirl pancakes
homemade twix
garbage bread (buffalo chicken)
buffalo chicken dip
and many different types of cookies
WIN: The PAPA picture on cavas. Putting it on canvas went really well thanks to this pin -

WIN: Toddler faucet extender from a baby soap bottle
https://pinterest.com/pin/225109681344756289/
WIN: Glow sticks in the bathtub

WIN: Can't find the link, but adding glitter to black/navy playdough.
FAIL: A clothespin Christmas card wreath. It was a nightmare that just looked like a misshapen mess of clothespins. And all the pins spun around, so it didn't work at all. Absolute FAIL.

Seems like there have been other fails, but I must have blocked them from my memory.
I'm glad the homemade Twix was a win! I've been meaning to try that out. Twix is one of my all time favorite candies.
