Those that use natural deoderant...

I've been making my own deoderant for probably a year and a half now. Over time i noticed the skin under my arms has gotten gradually darker to the point that from afar, it would look like I still have hair under my arms even when I'm freshly shaved. Anyone else experience this and is there anyway to make it go away?

I get darkening there too. It isn't all the time though I feel. It seems to me like when it's been particularly hot it's almost a heat rashy type of darkening and it tends to lighten up if I stay cooler. I hope it doesn't stick around. I have no idea what I'd do to make it go away!

I?ve never tried this so I don?t know if it works or not, but you could try lemon juice. I know it can be used to lighten your skin on other body parts (I?ve heard it used on the face and elbows). It could be worth a try to see if it works on the underarm area. I would avoid using it if you?ve shaved recently as I?m sure it would burn.
