After weaning how long...

After you weaned, or your child weaned, did you get your period back? And how long did it take for it to regulate? This is tmi, but my daughter weaned in June and I got my period back on 6/25. It was normal, nothing wrong, not heavy, normal length all that. Now here it is 7/31 and no period. Thinking I could possibly be pregnant I took two home pregnancy tests and both came back negative. So my thinking is that my body is just trying to regulate itself. So my real question(s) are how long did it take for your body to regulate itself (I know everybody is different...I'm just trying to get a general idea) and when should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.

    Thank you for the information. The good news is I recently found out that the dollar tree sells pregnancy tests and ovulation tests because those are SO expensive. And the ones the sell are like the ones my doctor's office uses.

    If my AF delayed over six weeks (or I had mid-cycle spotting) I would consult a dr.  While I was EBF my cycle returned (4.5m pp) and has been regular since (and I'm still BFing).  However, my mom and I both had experiences where we didn't regulate after pg/BCP and sought assistance.  Hers was a result of PCOS manifesting.  Mine was needing a jump start.

    Def different for everyone.  We're still BF-ing and I got AF back in December when I was nursing 7 times a day.  It's come ever 30/31 days since.

    Thank you all so much for the info. I hope my system doesn't need a jump start, but it may come down to that. The doctor said to wait it out, if I haven't gotten it by 60 days to call them and make an appointment. And thanks for the info about the pregnancy tests.
