DS just turned one. He was just tested again by allergist, and is still allergic to milk, as well as corn, oats, fish and almonds (nuts). We finally got him taking soy milk (took about two months to get him to take it and not throw it). He was on alimentum. Well, now we have these horrendous diareah (TMI) diapers, terrible diaper rash, tummy aches...and a generally unhappy baby. ICould this be a soy intolerance, or is he adjusting to the new diet of soy? He can't have almond milk. The pedi told me to buy calcium fortified juice and just offer that, but my son isn't going to just drink juice all day ::side eye to pedi::. any ideas? Thanks

Re: Soy intolerance?
DS has an intolerance to both milk and soy, so he's been on rice milk and sometimes coconut milk since about a year old. The symptoms were the same for both, maybe a little less GI stuff with the soy. Bottom line, if he's exhibiting the same symptoms as before, it's probably not going to work.
I just try to supplement fat in other ways. Try yogurts (sometimes they do ok with them because of the probiotics, DS loves his greek yogurt) and different flavors of hummus.
