It doesn't matter if I put her to bed at 8, 9, or 10, she wakes up at 12:30am every.single.night. screaming. Before she started teething for her top teeth, I would be able to shush her back to sleep, or even better, she would be able to do it herself.
Since the teething, she would need me to soothe her, which can take anywhere from 30 seconds to an hour. I was hoping that once the teeth broke through, that would stop, but it has been going on for over a month. What gives?!
Last night, it took 50 minutes, with two pick ups (something that I rarely have to do). Letting her CIO gets her so wound up that it can take 2 hours to get her back down. I also don't know what the difference is between a night that only takes a couple of pats to resettle her vs. 1+ hr to resettle her.
Please tell me this is just a super long phase and that it will pass. Not sure what else to do to break this habit.
Re: 12:30am, every.single.night
Babies have such weird internal clocks. DS used to wake up at 4:00am every day like that. It was the weirdest thing..
I can't remember but I think he just quit it on it's own.
Have you tried Motrin?
