I am 17 weeks and work full time at a factory so I am on my feet for close to 9 hours a day. We get two 15 minute breaks throughout the day. Is there any tips/tricks to help my tired old feet? I plan on working as close as I possibly can to labor.
Good suggestions from pp...I know nurses & drs who do long surgeries use a stool & will alternate propping one of their feet up on the stool to shift weight back & forth.
Best thing would be if there is any way your employer would let you sit or prop yourself somehow but it sounds like that is probably not possible/the norm...
I've heard Merrel shoes are great for your feet. My friend is a therapist adswears by them. Maybe ice them during your breaks, and make sure you elevate them as well.
They made me feel like an old lady, but compression stockings really helped my legs. I got some pretty nasty spider veins and they caused a lot of leg pain, but the stockings definitely helped! I also asked DH for a lot of foot massages!
Re: Leg/Feet Pains
Can you have the company provide one of the shock-absorbent mats or a stool? Also, invest in a good pair of shoes, or at least some really good, supportive insoles. Maybe you can have a foot massage thing to use on your breaks, like this? https://www.amazon.com/10-Wheel-Wood-Foot-Massager/dp/B001JSSYDC/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1343763622&sr=1-1&keywords=foot+massager+wooden

Good luck!
see a podiatrist about orthotic inserts, also Dansko shoes are great for being on your feet.
