evap vs. positives

is there a website that shows you comparisons between evap lines and positive lines? i've heard that most evaps are grey, colorless or look like a "dent" in the test. what do you make of this photo?? the line is pink irl

It looks pink. Did you look at it in the time frame? If so, there should be no question. Evaps are only after the time limit.

Google pee on a stick, it'll take you to a website of that name that has lots of evap information.

If the line showed up within the time frame and it's pink, then congrats! If it's outside the time limit, then retest.

Within time limit=BFP

After time limit=evap

As long as you followed the test directions, then I'd say you are pregnant. Congrats!

everywhere online says evaps are not pink, and this is pink... i think i'll just re-test. i dont think it's a BFP. too good to be true

If you know evaps are not pink, and that is pink. Why do you not think it's a BFP? Jebus knows you have asked enough TTC questions between here and 1st Tri to know about conception and pregnancy tests.

Looks pink to me, and that is through the interwebz. So I'm sure in person it is more obvious. As long as you read it within the time frame, it should be right.

Btw was this first morning urine? How many DPO are you?

yup, FMU. no idea how many DPO I am since I do not chart. AF is due this Sunday. (30 day cycles).

the thing is, i took the test totally expecting a negative, so i didnt even wait the full 5 minutes that it said. i looked at it, didnt see anything, and trashed it. went to look at it 2 hrs later and saw the line. didnt think much of it, assumed it was an evap line and just thought i'd post and see what ppl thought. seems that most evap lines are not pink, and tend to show up in spots where a positive line would NOT be.

i'll just re-test tomorrow and set a timer to make sure i am getting an accurate reading.

in the all the HPTs I have taken, I have never seen an evap line on a pink dye test. when they were negative, they stayed negative

Pink or not, I wouldn't trust it if I dug it out of the trash after two hours. Retesting sounds like a good idea. Good luck.
