Nipples....

Ok so I'm in my 9th week of pregnancy and Still haven't noticed any color change of the nipple but I've talked to a few people and say that's normal... My question is... Is it normal to have extremely sensitive nipples so early? I mean before I got pregnant I have sensitive nipples but now the slightest touch like my bra material moving is noticeable. It borders between nice and sore if that makes sense. Anyone else experience that? Or am I just strange?

Re: Nipples....

  • Mine hurt SO bad around that time.  I had to put vaseline on them so that there was less friction between my bra and skin.  But, it's gotten WAS better since then.  Good luck!

  • My breasts are slightly bigger  but nipples are same color and sensitive just as you explained...I put cocoa butter on every morning after a shower....probably should in the evening too but it is hard enough to remember to floss and brush when so exhausted...can't do another task!

My nipple sensitivity is through the roof! I haven't noticed any color change yet.

  • Mine were slow to change color or become sore with the first pregnancy.  This time my girls are definitely getting bigger, nipples darker, but are less sore (for right now).  Symptoms come and go and every pregnancy is different.
  • I have insane nipple sensitivity where there was none before. My already large breasts make it difficult to really get any true feeling out of my nipples, so to have any sensitivity at all is really outside of the norm.

My nipples are the same size and color as they were PP. My breasts themselves are slightly plumper than before. I don't remember seeing any visible nipple changes with DS until I was around 25 weeks, so I expect not to see any until then.

This. I'm a FTM and my chest is pretty big. I haven't noticed color changes and my bra is a little snugger than before, but where I really notice it is in nipple sensitivity. My breasts themselves are sensitive at times, as are my nipples. But when my nipples feel it, they REALLY feel it.

  • Thanks... That helps. Atleast I know I'm not alone. I'll try the cocoa butter. See if that works. :]

  • Like you, mine were sensitive before I was pregnant and shortly after I became pregnant they were even more sensitive... A lot of time it was a "good pain" if that makes sense? But other times it was just really apinful. I did not notice any colour change until about 3 weeks ago.

Everyone is different, so I wouldn't say you're strange!

  • Mine were always sensitive before I got my period. Since I've been pregnant (7w), my boobs have been HORRIBLY sore for about 2 weeks. My nipples have just gotten sore and slightly larger in the past couple of days, but let me tell you, I wince every time my shirt, bra, loofa in the shower comes in contact with them. The boobs have by far been my worst pregnancy symptom.
