So pissed!!

Well I failed my 1 hr glucose test and took my 3 hr test a week ago Saturday.  My stupid Dr. waits an entire week to look at the results and finally has her nurse call me yesterday to tell me she is diagnosing me with GD even though I passed 2 out of 3 of the tests.  WTF!!  I thought if you passed 2 out of 3 you were good to go and why did it take her so long to look at the results.  So not happy!!

    I passed 2 out of the 3, and the MW said she was saying I was slightly glucose intolerant and sent me to the GD nurse and nutritionist for counseling. They went over my numbers and the one that was elevated was 145 and they want it UNDER 145. I was furious. The nutritionist had me track my meals for a week and bring in the journal to "correct" my eating. When she looked it over she found NOTHING wrong. The GD nurse gave me a blood glucose monitor and after a week of testing and my numbers being no where near their "line" I'm not even kinda worried. 

     Totally get your anger, I was beyond upset!

    Are you sure she had the results for an entire week? Just saying I've been in a lab before with 100's of test and it being a weekend and having other patients sometimes these things take time. It's important for us to understand we are not the only patient and definitely not more important than any other patient.

    You can always ask her about the 2 out of 3 but I would just do what she says if it's best for baby, which I don't doubt you will do I know you just wanted to vent!

    This makes me feel better, maybe that's all I will have to do too.  The nurse couldn't answer too many of my questions and I see the nutrionist today so we'll see how it goes.

    I totally get that I'm not the only patient but the other Dr. I've been seeing (we rotate OBs) told me they would have the results by last Monday.  It's a very small hospital/lab so I doubt it would have taken an entire week to get the results.  My other Dr. would have called me immediately but this Dr. is very slow about getting back to me about anything.  I'm just not very impressed with her I guess.
