Cinda-fluckin-rella. Bonus points if you can name this movie.
So, DH and I were down to 2 names for our little guy and he has now decided he wants to wait until LO gets here to decide. ::facepalm:: I mean, I get why, but geez. He also doesn't want to share with any of our friends or family because he doesn't want outside influence. SOO...because I'm just going to burst if I don't share with someone, I'm going to share here. Sorry for being "that girl" that AWs her baby name(s) but I can't tell anyone else.
The two names to decide between are:
Samuel Floyd
Sebastian Floyd
Floyd is my dad's name and DH felt it was important to name our son after him in some way since I am the only one having kids in my family and there is no way to carry on his name. Plus, we're huge Pink Floyd fans. Kinda has double meaning.
Samuel was DH's Great Grandfather's name and Sebastian is a name that he found and liked. It means "respected one".
Thanks for letting me get it out.
Re: The Pressure of a Name...
I am going to jump on this boat too because we have decided not to share with anyone until DS is born because we don't want to hear people's opinions (and we're also afraid we'll change our minds)....we are going in with 3 names:
Aiden James, Alexander James and Emmett James (James is DH's middle name and my Dad's first name). Right now, Aiden is our frontrunner.
I think you have two really great options. I lean slightly toward Samuel, but that's because I am a sucker for family names (all three of our kids have family names for first and middle).
Good work! And don't stress about being undecided, not like you have a list of 10 to narrow down, and I bet one of these names will fit perfectly right away.
(read it. you know you want to.)

Nicely done. lol...
That's how I have been. I picked out Samuel way back. However, as soon as DH said Sebastian, I loved it. And, maybe partly because he was the crab on the Little Mermaid and I think it's just adorable. lol.. But, you all are right. I'm sure once he's here, it'll be quite obvious which one fits best.
I like them both but Samuel I would lean towards as well. I am a family name girl too!
Our son will be Willem Cael John. John is my dad and grandfather's first name and my husband and his dad's middle name. Works well. We both really liked Liam then found out it is from Willem and fell in love. Cael is Gaelic, which we were trying to stick to and was also my Great Grandfather's middle name.
We're doing the same thing and not deciding between the two names until we see her. Although, we still are at a standstill with middle names. With DS we picked out a name relatively quickly, but we've changed our minds a million times with this one, and I don't really want to hear my family's reactions either way, especially if we end up changing our minds again.
I like both of your names
MH doesn't want to share names either and it is kind of killing me (although I've admittedly told a few friends confidentially! I'm a bad wife...).
They're both great! I like Sebastien over Samuel, but I love the nickname Sam--I just think it's SO cute for a baby/little boy, but it translates well to an adult name, too.
Floyd was also a MN contender for us. Like you, for both family and musical reasons
We're team green, but right now we don't have a solid boy name yet. We did decide on a safety name, but we're hoping when baby is born we'll be able to name him right then and there. I know it's a lot shot, but that's why we have the safety name!
Also, I like both of your names and really can't decide between the two.

Funny enough, this is one of the reasons DH doesn't like Samuel. He doesn't mind Sammy or Samuel but does NOT want people to call him Sam. I keep telling him that regardless what we name our kid...people will call him what they're gonna call him. *shrugs* I love the nickname "Sam."
I love all the names that you all are sharing as well.
I like both first names, but prefer Sebastian. We're not telling anyone the name either, for the same reason your DH mentioned. I think it's fun to reveal it after the birth.
Love the names! Either one is a winner. Both are very strong.
