how often to take pro pics?

How often are you getting LO's pics done? And I would love to see your pro shots...esp of little girls! (I need outfit ideas!)

I bought a "Watch me Grow" package that includes 4 sessions, so I went when she was a newborn, and a couple days ago at 4 months. I'll continue to go at 8, and 12 months.

In terms of outfits, I brought a cute peach bubble dress, a tank top/diaper cover combo (the tank actually looked like a dress, and was solid in color), and her baptism gown (been in the family 42 years); the rest were taken with just a diaper on, and the photographers put cute headbands on her.

I would a PIP, but I'm on my phone...sorry!

Newborn and then 3,6,9,12 months OR 4, 8 and 12 months. Some people just do NB, 6 and 12 mos.

If you are only going to have it done one time before age one the absolute best age is 6-8 months or when ever they are sitting up unassisted.

I have mine wear nothing, or a diaper or a smocked/ classic type of dress or romper. I like the timeless look.

With DD1 we just did pro newborn, one year and two year photos (so annually). I took my own monthly shots in between.

We've done pro newborns for DD2 so far. I may do a family session around the time that she is 6 months this time, and get some shots of her then, too.

That's funny we bought the same thing. At the end she makes a book.

We will do some Christmas pics as well inbetween.

I didn't do newborn. I didn't have my act together enough when he was that age. We took a lot of our own photos those first few weeks. I did 3 months, and will do 6, 9, 12 months. After that...I haven't decided. I have a boy, so I can't help you with outfit ideas!

With DS (and so far with DD) we did newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and then annually.

We did nb and 4 mos then will do 8 and 12 mos. many have recommended the 4/8/12 instead of 3/6/9/12 because 3 mos is really awkward to photo and they are too similar to nb as far as available poses. I can't share from my phone but we did naked, with a diaper, a cute romper that coordinated with flowers in our background and another cute sundress. My photog has lots of example pics on her page.. We are doing 3, 6, 9, 12....it is to expensive to just do that but that is our plan, with exceptions of Halloween and Christmas

I am doing a 365 day photo project and take the monthly pics as well so we have lots of pictures

We're doing 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months. We're also doing pics for her christening and christmas. We go to JCPenney studio. They are excellent and very cheap. For outfits I love just a diaper. We use cloth diapers so there are a lot of cute options. For her 6 months pictures I'm thinking of getting a diaper cover with ruffles on the butt, a matching bow for her hair, and matching leg warmers

Where are you from? I know a great affordable photographer where I always get mine done. She has some inside sets but she LOVES outdoor pictures! She can make a book and she is very flexible on time and place! Check out her Facebook with 'Imagine Photography' with the symbol as a pink gerber daisy!
