nighttime restlessness

Ok, so maybe the colicky crying is getting better (twin boys are now almost 7 weeks), but even still I find that they are somewhat restless sleepers...moving around tons, grunting, passing gas, etc to the point where I can't even sleep between their feedings (which are now every 2-ish hours) because I am constantly checking on them to see if they are ok (doing this now). When does this get better?

Re: nighttime restlessness

  • My twins are 12 weeks now, so this phase is recent enough in memory to feel your pain! :) We went through this between 7-9 weeks. It really only lasted a couple and now they're very good sleepers at night and have spaced their feedings out considerably all the sudden. I imagine it's a growth spurt or something but it does get better, hang in there!

  • We nick named one of our girls monkey because she made monkey grunt sounds in her sleep all night.  All those noises made me move them to their own room at two weeks.  I leave my door and their door open and turn the sound off on their monitor so I only hear whats important.  They started sleeping more sound at about three months.
