Yes and Yes. I'm with Betsy...why? I was always told if you ask them to leave or tell them they are not invited there to please leave they will leave. May sound silly but if I felt something that is what I do.
Yes I believe in ghosts. I grew up in a haunted house so I have seen things. I haven't seen anything in the house we live in but I think Nina has. She used to look off into the corner of our living room and play her version of peek a boo. Babies and kids are more open to things so they see more than adults. Or at least that is what I have heard.
I ask because every night at the same time (sometimes more than once) E wakes up screaming. Not sad scream bloody murder screaming like he is sooooo scared. We live in an old house, it was built in early 1800's. I have seen and felt things in this house before E was born. This house has been in my DH's family forever and my ILs use to live here as well. I was discussing this with my MIL and she too thinks he may be getting scared. She had a lot of experiences here as well. I was just wondering if anyone else had experiences or maybe tell me that I am not going crazy.
The weird part is that since E was born I haven't felt anything. Are they showing themselves to him now? Just curious to thoughts.

I def do and yes I think kids and animals can see and sence better than adults. After my late husband passed away (in our home) I heard foot steps in the morn around the time he always got up to go to work. (other people also heard them so I know it was not just me) One night the dog was sitting in the chair my late husband always sat him...you can tell when dogs are being petted and I swear he was. One of our really good friends swears that he son could see him as well. Ever sence my LO has been born I haven't heard them or "felt" him again. Who knows!

Yes and Yes. My DD does the same thing every once in a while and points and stares at one corner in her room (there is NOTHING there, not even furniture) and shudders or tires to crawl up me and I have to take her out of the room to calm down. Finally about a week ago it happend and I just yealled 'Leave her alone already!' Hasn't happened since, but I'm not holding my breath. Good luck! If you're really curious do some research and see if there are scents you can bring into the room, or things that you can say, you can have the house blessed by a priest etc... I just wouldn't do anything to crazy or dark! You never know what could happen. Haha, I sound like a nut!
My son never met DH's grandmother. Well-- she passed away, and we had a photo of her on the mantel. Quentin would go up to it and smile real big and wave. We had no idea why he was doing this. Finally-- he told us she sits on the end of his bed at night and talks to him. He would always be giggling in the middle of the night, and a few times I walked in and saw him sitting up straight looking at the end of his bed and smiling and laughing. I would ask him who he was talking to, and he said "Grandma Jean".
No way he knew her name or knew who she was. Absolutely awesome.
She also flicks the kitchen lights when the kids are in there. No other time.
Yes and Yes. I also have a story about myself. When i was about 3 years old we moved into a new house. We were there for maybe an hour and i told my mom i saw an old man with overalls on. The next door neighbor later told us that there was a farmer that lived there years ago and every family who have lived there has seen him. We moved out when i was 20 and i never saw him again but there were a lot of other creepy things that went on. I'm glad i have a newer house now!
eesome-that story is crazy, kinda cool!

I am glad to know that there are other stories out there too!! I do not think that they are "bad" spirits.. I actually get the family vibe with them. I just think they are waking him up to "play" and it scares him. I have been telling them to leave him alone do we shall see...
Eesome..E never met my Gpa and he smiles at his picture all the time. I can't wait to ask him when he gets older.
Mandi I think my cat sees them too! He hisses or stares or acts like he is getting pet too. DH and I are like... crazy cat but now I wonder if he seems them too!!
Karlee, My DH and I already said no to anything to do with the spirts. I do not feel threatened and I do not want to make them mad... that dark stuff SCARES ME!!! I have no intent of messing with it.
Thanks everyone!
