Well, that was....fun, I think.

We did Jack Attacks party today.
We haven't had a house showing in 3 weeks so I was pretty sure we were going to be safe. Nope, got a call yesterday from someone that wanted to see our house at 1. Our party was scheduled for 11:30 so I tried to compromise and see if they would come later. The latest they would come was 3.
I cleaned, but didn't vacuum the whole house (vacuumed Friday) for the showing. I put bags everywhere for trash, etc. well, our families could apparently feel the stress bc they all started cleaning and doing hard work. It's a nice gesture, but kind of stepping on our toes, so to speak. DH got really upset and kept telling everyone the best thing that they could do would be leave so we don't have to get 30 people out before the showing. They didn't leave and kept on cleaning and "helping". Again, it's hard to complain, but I have a way that I go through every room before a showing.
Then the family arguments started. I stayed out but H got into it with everyone. Poor Jack's party stank of family fighting. I spent so much time planning, cooking and cleaning.
We're going to a park next year.

How did the showing go?
It was okay, thanks for asking. Our house has an interesting layout so it's going to take a unique buyer.
How are things on the moving front for you?
Now you have me curious - What do you mean by "interesting" layout?
Things are moving along over here. Our bathroom remodel is pretty much finished. Our contractor is coming back later today to do a few touchups. (I cannot wait for those to be done so that I can do a "before/after" AW.) Then my mother is coming over tomorrow to help me pack some things and put them away. Then our real estate agent is coming over in the evening so that we can finally put up our "for sale" sign.
