Oh my.... this sweet little girl gives me a hard time during the day! She seriously only has three or four 30 min cat naps ALL DAY!!! It's insane. My older daughter was taking three or four 60 min naps at this age. The girl won't nap!! I have no idea if this is normal or acceptable. The good thing is, she usually sleeps 9-10 hours straight at night. Mostly 9pm to 7am, so I am thankful for that. But it is so exhausting going all day long because she is not a really content baby - she has high needs. Yawn. Anyone else out there like this?
Re: Any other babies that don't nap much??
That is pretty much my DDs schedule too... sometimes she surprises me with a nap that is an hour long, or even a miracle one that is 2 hours... but mostly it is 4-5 30 minute naps a day. Its tough because its so repetitive, with no a whole lot of awake time before she is tired again, but we are making do.
You could try bumping her awake time a little longer and see if that gets her to sleep longer as well. For some babies, that is exactly what they needed, and for other babies they just get more overtired. Its worth a shot though!
DS takes 2 or 3 fifteen minute naps a day. I rush around like I mad woman trying to get stuff down when he is down. I EBF and he's still waking every 3 hours at night to feed also.
Today mine took two 20 minute naps. She doesn't sttn either.
So, I'm kind of jealous of you,ha

My LO sucks at naps. A few things I have been doing lately - driving extra far to run my errands and leaving just as he gets sleepy. The car ride knocks him out, and it it's long enough, I can usually transfer the car seat to the stroller without waking him. A short car ride doesn't cut it.
Also, in the afternoon, I lie down in bed with him. He used to sleep so well in my arms, but lately he's not really into this. Lying down in bed, I nurse him to sleep. When he wakes up, he'll sometimes go back down when he notices I'm right there with him. If not, another quick nurse will sometimes do the trick. I don't get anything done, but hes less cranky.
Of course, what works one week often doesnt work the next, so who knows!
