DD rolls a lot in her sleep. Often she ends up on the opposite end of the crib from where I put her down. When she is hooked up to the g-tube, how do I keep her from getting tangled up?
that's always a big question of at the feeding tube awareness board. my son doesn't move around so we don't have that problem...but i've seen some moms say they use a pool noodle around the line.
We had the same issue. We run the extension through the bottom of the crib, near his starting feet placement, then run it under a sheet protector. This gives him the play he needs without my fear of him wrapping it around his neck.
You can also get 24 inch extensions which give you a little more play.
Emergency ileostomy 11/28/10, CF dx on 12/3/10 and ileostomy takedown 1/24/11, feeding tube placed 7/1/11...still going strong!
