That is absolutely one of the most terrible things I have read. No, it is not physical abuse like we have seen all too much of lately, but that poor girl. I hope she finds a wonderful family to take her in.

I think (or very sincerely hope) that this not real. The other articles on this site are... interesting, and a bit off. I also couldn't find this story anywhere else. However, real or not, the story is appalling.

Regardless of its authenticity, it's horrifying and nauseating.

I will never understand a church that could condone parents abdicating their responsibilities and love for a child bc she doesn't conform to their exact standard. I hope this poor girl finds love and support elsewhere bc her parents were obviously lacking in this department.

I can't imagine the pain this girl must be going through. She needs all the support she can get. Hopefully someone who is willing to open their heart will adopt her and provide her with a wonderful support system...

Shame on those parents...surely they will go to "hell" for their decision!
