I might get some of each, but I plan on keeping the house warmer anyway. We haven't lived in our house through winter yet, so no idea how cold his room will be.
Thanks for the input. It seems to be about 50/50 so I will probably make some of both. I have way more flannel than cotton, but wasn't sure if the flannel would sell.

I said yes - there's nothing more aggravating than laying a snoozy baby down on cold woven cotton sheets - they startle & wake up. I'm going to make some fleece sheets for the basinette - we keep our house really cold & i think baby would feel cozier on them.
Remember that, if you're making them, flannel is REALLY prone to shrinking, so you'll want to wash (or at least wet) and dry before cutting/measuring! Good luck!

I have been quilting for over 10 years so I am really familiar with how much things shrink, but thanks.

Hahaha, holy sh*t I love you.
Anyslut, I want at least 1 flannel sheet, but at least around where I live they are freakin hard to find (either they aren't carried or are sold out). Boo hiss.

Well you know where to find someone that makes them now, don't you!

We have flannel sheets for our own bed and I love them! We keep our house cold at night because we both sleep better, so I think flannel crib sheets would be what I would want especially without extra blankets! Also, flannel sheets don't feel cold when you first go to bed. Hopefully, this will mean less waking up when baby boy gets put to bed. Less shock from warm body to cold bed.
*This seemed really long after I wrote it, but I swear I thought it in less words!*
Re: XP: Flannel Crib sheets? Clicky
I said yes for all the reasons you mentioned above.
They are warm and soft!

It's all we use in the cooler months. I think they're especially nice when baby is too little to have blankets in bed with him/her.
We made ours and love them
