  My LO had a very high heart rate the first time we saw HER at 6 weeks so it's possible!  But it's not a given.  I wouldn't go painting the nursery just yet

  First baby had a high heart rate at 12 weeks and my son will be 8 months next week.

  My mom thought the same thing. She is convinced that if the HB is higher than 140 then it's a girl.  I don't know that there is much truth to this but for us it actuallly turned out to be right.  Meh 50/50 chance right!  And either way guessing is kind of fun:)

  There has been research to prove that it's bogus. It's just an OWT. It could go either way.

  Definitely OWT. My (obvious) baby boy has had a HB at 170 this entire pregnancy.
