Hey Ladies, I wasn't around much the past 2 w. I had another bleeding scare at 20w and a trip to L&D. The stress was just too much and emotionally I was done. I spent the first week dealing with stuff at home and resting as much as possible (DS went to daycare). I took DS in to get his cast off on the 19th, but the orthopedic surgeon wanted a bit more healing before removing it, so they re-cast it for another 3 weeks. Doc would have been happy with 2, but was on vacay, so 3 it is. Oh joy!
Spent the next week up home visiting my mom. She did all the cooking and laundry and errands and I just got to relax and spend quality time with DS. Got in a visit with my dad and gramma. DS had a ball. I also had a chance to go out to dinner with some of my best girlfriends from highschool and unversity. It was so awesome to see them all. I feel much more rested and calm. I am still nervous as heck about something going wrong. I am hoping that reaching Vday will give me some more re-assurance. PGAL is so hard, but combined with 2nd tri bleeding and increased risk of preterm labour and placental abruption (although small risks) sucks even more.
I missed you girls and can't wait to catch up.

I had a bright red flow bleeding episode at 14.5w, they didn't investigate at that time, just told me to rest for a few days, no lifting, etc. It subsided after a couple of days. I had another brown spotting scare at 15.5w and at that time they did a full u/s and found a large Sub Chrionic Hematoma (7x2x2 cm). This bleed was not present at my 12w NT scan and had disappeared by my 18w a/s. I had bright red gushing bleeding at 20w. Baby is moving around fine and has a strong hb, but it freaks me out, none the less. They do not know the cause of the most recent bleeding. I had not done anything strenuous in any case and have not had sex since a few weeks before the first bleeding episode, so that's not the cause. Nothing that could explain the bleeding was seen on the 18w u/s. In fact, the last time, all I did was roll over and get out of bed when the bleeding started.
If it happens again, I will insist on another scan to see if there is another SCH. Those that have an SCH as large as mine was, are at risk of preterm labour and Placental abruption, although since the SCH seems to have resolved, the risk is not that high, just higher than for the average pregnancy. Just another thing to worry about this time around I guess.
