Trouble TTC

Kinda Sorta 3T Weekly Check-In

I'm sorry this isn't in it's usual format, however, I'm dealing with a situation with a good friend of mine and won't have access to the check in information for a couple of days, so we're breaking out of the norm for this check in (since I want to know how you all are doing).

Those of you that requested to be added last week, you've been added. Those that would like to be added, please provide the following info:

1. Name

2. When you started TTC

3. Diagnosis

4.  Treatments

QOTW: What is your favorite summertime food/drink?

  • No new update on me.  We are in limbo with my H's job, so we might have to put ttc on hold for a bit.  I am extremely frustrated by this since this was job #8 in 4 years.

Favorite summer food is anything homegrown, tomatoes, corn, or green beans are my favorites!  I love to wash it all down with a great big glass of sweet tea!

  • Update:  Trigger shot Thursday (7/30), BD Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.  Now we wait until my beta 8/9, we'll see how we survive our first 2ww wait since I haven't had regular cycles since we started trying.  I haven't had any side effects from the trigger shot, except some bloating one day, which is great, but also has me freaked out that it didn't work and that I didn't ovulate. Seeing that it is our first medicated cycle, we are keeping all our fingers and toes crossed, but are also being realistic and trying not to get our hopes up too much.  My sister-in-law has a good friend that got pregnant their first cycle doing what we are doing, so of course she has her/our hopes up that the same thing will happen with us.

  • At CD3 and have my baseline appt for IUI#3 is on Wed.  We're probably doing Femara again.  I've really got my FX for this one.  Our first IUI, we didn't BD at all... we just did the IUI.  2nd IUI I had a cyst so we couldn't do medication.  Then last month I was out of town so we did medication and lots of BD but couldn't do the IUI.  So hopefully this cycle we will be able to do meds, BD AND the IUI and all of that will make this 3rd time a charm!

ETA QOTW - corn on the cob...  I live in Arizona so there isn't much differentiation between winter and summer though :)

  • Update: I am 14dpt and 13 or 14dpo for Clomid cycle #2. I got a BFN when I tested this morning and put a call in to the RE's office to see if I need to go ahead and stop the Estrace and progesterone suppositories. I am pretty sure there is no point in a beta since my temperature dropped two days ago. I am also considering getting a second opinion from another RE.

ETA: RE said to wait 3 more days and test again to be sure then stop the meds. I feel like it is futile since my temp is so low.

Favorite food/drink: In the summer I crave sweet tea. Plain and boring, but when I think of summer that is the first thing that comes to mind.

Update: I'm 5 dpo/dptrigger of what will probably be the longest 2WW of my life, as it was my first medicated cycle. I'm super thrilled with my chart right now, and I'll be even more thrilled if I get a LP longer than 10 days.

My favorite summertime food/drink is bbq'd hamburgers with ice cream for dessert. Oh man, I want that now!

    2. When you started TTC: June 2011

    3. Diagnosis: Well... my TTC journey started because I had an MS episode and my neurologist recommended I get pregnant before getting on treatment for the MS. DH and I were just about ready to start trying anyway so things just got pushed to the forefront of our plan.

Since then, I've seen an RE who found a uterine polyp, TSH and lowish AMH.

    4. Treatments: Uterine Polyp removal 8/12, on Synthroid since 7/12, upping the vitamin D, eating healthy and exercising. After the polyp removal, I will do an IUI with Femara and Menopur this fall.

QOTW: What is your favorite summertime food/drink? Too many - LOL! But if I had to narrow it down, I would say Bell's Oberon and watermelon!

  • Hey all.  We are unfortunately moving on to IUI #2, and I'm pretty bummed about it.

And of course my friend with long irregular periods, who didn't want to "take the fun out of it" by charting, is KTFU.  Just by having sex with her husband, in their bed.  And it was all she could talk about when I saw her, on CD2.  Ugh.  It's not fair.

  • Update: I had my first monitoring appointment this morning, and I didn't respond to 50 mg of Clomid at all. I had 23 follies on the right and 17 on the left, nothing over 6 mm.

I'm starting 100 mg of Clomid tonight and hoping and praying that I respond.

  • Went in  for monitoring yesterday.  I did Femara CD 5- 9 and was supposed to start injects for a hybrid cycle yesterday. My lining was so thin the RE said it wasn't even measurable. Plus I am still spotting from AF on CD 12.  I had one lead follie, but I forget how big it was.  I'm going back Friday to see how things are moving along but we are not doing injects and not doing IUI #2 this cycle. I've never had such thin lining before.  I was really bummed.  Every cycle it seems like something new pops up.  Sigh.

QOTW: Blue crabs and Bud Light Lime!

QOTW: Hot dogs at the ball park and a nice, cold beer!
