DH is currently ignoring me because I refused to buy him ice cream while I was at the store. Seriously?? I do a market run every two weeks. During my run last Friday I graciously bought him Cheez-Its, Ice Cream, and soda (Pepsi next- less sugar at least). He downed all of that in one week...and he expects me to get more? Nuh-huh buddy.
I am working my little tail end to lose all this baby weight and frankly, DH could afford to lose quite a bit more than me. You think I'm going to buy any more crap for him? We already have a tight budget as it is, and I bought no treats for myself. Men are such babies!
Re: The immaturity of men
Budget issues I understand, but you made it sound like you wouldn't buy them because you were trying to lose weight and wanted to put him on a diet as well.

Hehe, hehe.
Thank you
Apparently some people don't understand what a vent is.
I guess I am "some women" since I'm the only one who posted. Actually I wasn't snarky at all, my first post was an honest question, and my second post was actually quite kind saying I understand budget issues. Trust me, I could have said much more, and it could have been a lot snarky-er. I totally understand what a vent is, I also understand that once it's out there for all to see people can tell you your vent is rediculous. Welcome to the Internet, hon. Be glad I'm one of the nice ones.
Actually it wasn't you, but thanks for the talk (hon).
Let it be noted that's the meanest I've ever been on here haha. I actually laughed as I typed it because it is very un-me to be so blunt directly to a person. Yes, I am pretty square in real life.
I totally get what you are saying! We are also on a budget and my DH also tends to keep eating until it's all gone. So yes, I sometimes tell him, too when he needs to stop. Some people have less control and can't stop eating or simply get lost in the moment because it's so good LOL
I don't see anything wrong with telling them when they're going overboard. As a married couple we are a team and if I was going overboard with something I'd expect him to tell me as well... Diabetes and heart decease run in my DHs and when he's overweight and then eating crap I get concerned and I remind him that it would be good for him to slow it down a bit. Not just for budget puproses but for health issues as well, which are a lot more important than money! I get you 100%.
