The breastfeeding class is this week that we are able to take. I am wondering how many of you took your DH/SO with you and how many of you just went alone. I am not sure what to do. Thanks!
I went alone, there were 4 pregnant women, 1 DH and 1 mom (of young pregnant woman) in my class. I honestly don't know if my class was worth it. I learned a little, but I don't know if it was any more than the LC would be able to tell me at hospital.

I took DH and we were both glad he went. He got a better appreciation of what to expect and hopefully if I'm losing my mind from frustration and sleep deprivation he'll be able to remember something from the class that helps. About half the women there had their DH/SO with them.

I went alone. There were five moms there alone, and three that came with their DHs. For me, it was easier to just give him the information he needed later. Like how to store, bring frozen milk to temp, etc. He will be there I. The hospital for the session with the LC, so I'm not worried.

I made my DH go. He was the only dad, but BFing isn't just a mom sport, and I actually needed his support and help in the first week a lot, so I'm glad he went.

I went alone and don't regret it. I was easily able to relay the bullets to him when I got home and the book given to us has a dad section. Between the 2 it would have been a waste of time for him to go.

I went alone. I'd say half the class I went to brought their husbands. I'd say if your DH can make it and wants to go, bring him along, but if he doesn't don't worry about it too much.
I brought DH and it helped my sanity to have him there. I was really disappointed in my class, we watched a video for 45 minutes then LC talked for 30ish.

DH came with me, and I liked it. He was able to remember some of the info that I, when actually going through it, could not, because I was so flustered/frustrated.

This.
MH was a great help in the hospital while we were waiting for the LC. He was much more clear-headed than I was post-labor and could remember more. Plus, he could see angles I couldn't!
My DH went with me, like most have said here... its mostly for mom's but there was some information that DH liked hearing. I would agree, if he's got the time and he wants to go, why not let him?
I haven't had mine yet, but I do plan on taking my husband with me. The site says that it encourages partners to come and I think that it is a good idea. He may remember something that I don't and hopefully, it will help him get a better understanding of it and give me support if/when I need it.

DH came with me, and that seemed like it was the norm for that class. Even though he wasn't actively doing the feeding, I thought it was important for us to receive the same info/be on the same page.
