in 1st Trimester

Thank God I found a better Doctor knock on wood. I went to my usual OB this morning for my first appointment. When I told him I wasn't going to deliver in Baptist Nassau, he basically was rude and and said we aren't doing your prenatal goodbye. I'm shocked I told him I would come to him till I found one but he wouldn't even give me a paper stating I was PG, just did a pap and that was it. Kinda aggravated with it, I understand where he is coming from and I explained to him why I wasn't delivering in a run down hospital where the doctors don't know what they are saying ( I had a doctor tell me chicken pox weren't contagious last year when I went in for an Asthma attack my Fiance and I bolt after that) He had problems in the past with doctors not paying attention to his allergies and gave him meds with sulfur in it ended up with a bigger hospital bill from that.

    So you did find a new doctor? That's good. Sounds like your old one was a jerk about your decision to not deliver in the hospital he prefers.

    Does your old OB have privelages at any other hospital?  Many OB's here only have privelages at one of the two hospitals and won't give you prenatal care at all if you are going to a hospital they don't have privelages at.
