cramps without bleeding?

Should I be concerned if I have consistent moderate cramping with no bleeding? I know some cramping is normal, I'm 6 weeks pregnant, I've had a moderate cramping for about a day now. On a scale of 1-10 it's at about a 4 consistently. Feels like AF should come any second, just won't come. I have no bleeding, but I'm just not sure if I should call the doctor or not? It's my first so I have no idea what's normal, and whats not! TIA!

Cramping is pretty normal. With both of mine I've had cramping on the side of the corpus luteum and also got bad cramps from my digestive tract. My dr said not to call unless the cramps were interfering with my every day life or accompanied with bleeding.

I've been cramping off and on. It normally happens when I stand up from sitting for an extended amount of time. When I wake up in the mornings, and get out of bed, it hurts a little longer. Then my body adjusts to being up and moving around and the pain subsides. I think this is all normal. As long as you aren't bleeding, I wouldn't worry too much. But, definitely tell your Dr. everything.

Thanks ladies. I just don't know what's normal, what's not normal and I'm overly paranoid. I have my first US next Tuesday at 7 weeks (yay!), so unless it gets worse I'll wait and ask about it then. Fingers crossed it goes away, it's annoying!!!

In addition to growing pains, you can also start to have braxton hicks contractions pretty early (as early as 6w, in some cases) if you allow yourself to become too dehydrated. Make sure you keep your water intake up, just in case!
