Re: coconut milk vs WCM
whoops, I didn't mean to post that yet.
What do you do to make up for the missed protein? Or do you feel like it's a non-issue?
DS is on Coconut Milk also. He eats protein with lunch and dinner, so I am thinking he is getting enough. However this is a good point that I didn't think of so I will ask his pedi at his one year visit. Curious to see if this is a concern for other mamas whose LO's are on Coconut Milk.
Add an egg per day. Make sure there's some form of protein (nut butter, meat, tofu) at each meal. There are proteins in fruits and vegetables.
IMO, it's a non-issue if you know what you're feeding your kid, and the sources of vital nutrients, vitamins, etc.
We eat healthy, balanced meals. I cook 90% of what we eat and it's usually local or organic.
It looks like its not an issue for anyone. The baby eats what we eat. I really was just to know if it bothered any of you.
