My name is Amanda, I'm due February 22, we are having a natural childbirth at a waterbirth center here in Oregon.
I have many favorite foods under normal circumstances, I actually was a chef (before I was laid off earlier this year). Right now food and I are just kind of tolerating each other, though.
The only preparations we've really done thus far are picking our birthing center (second appointment coming up Monday), and telling family. My mom gave us a dresser that we plan on refinishing for baby, but have yet to start. I just haven't fell well enough to do much yet.
Can you add me? I am due 9/10 with my second baby. I'll be delivering in a hospital with a midwife and have the option of a water birth (if the room is available!). We are team green (again) : )

3. My favorite food lately has been PEACHES! I can't stop eating them because the local ones are perfect right now.
4. We took an active birth class geared towards natural birth (had pitocin & an epi with DD). We moved DD to her big girl room and have started pulling out her baby stuff, cloth diapers, etc. Other than that I don't really feel like we need to do anything else to prepare. A friend of mine always says (regarding babies)- If you've got boobs and a car seat, you're all set!

Forced break, including two Hysteroscopies in October to remove retained tissue.

Heard HB 1/24/12. 144 bpm!

I started making him a Christmas stocking, and (somewhat related, since the "kit" I'm using required name embroidery as the first step) picked a name for him. Kind of amazing since we didn't have names picked for our Team Green baby #1 until I was around 39 weeks, and even then they were uncertain!

Had our a/s this week and we are having another girl! So excited! Now I can finally get started on redoing DD's room. They will be sharing. I had been holding off since I didn't know if we needed to make it gender neutral or not.

3. Oh my, I love food. My most frequent craving is for photo chips and dip though, not good! And I've really been wanting to go to a local Indian buffet lately.

We found out that she's girl last week, and bought a car seat, extra base and stroller frame. I still need to register for our classes, but I've finished all the books we bought and bought one for breastfeeding.

Black bear tenderloin with wild rice mixed with wild cranberries and wild oyster mushrooms. Everything collected by me, any food that i get myself from the wild or my garden. I love cake too.

We have classes starting on August 8th. This weekend will be all about getting the remainder of the baby supplies needed, mostly a dresser to put the clothes and nappies.

I was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan... let me get my hand map out! My family moved to the northwest suburbs of Chicago for most of my childhood and now I'm in Tallahassee, FL with my husband.
3. What is your favorite food?
Well, sushi when I'm not pregnant. I mean, it still is but I'm being good and waiting... it's torturous, really. Ice cream and cheese and crackers have most recently been my new favorite foods.

My friends "kidnapped" me to Target and helped me pick out items for my registry. I even managed to get my husband almost excited about picking out a pack and play by telling him it was basically a "baby cage."
Sometimes, I'm hilarious.
