"Real" or not, it's still funky. Also, the meaning "wandering or uncertain" is a bit sad. But then, lots of names have horrible meanings. -shrug-

I like Errol. I wouldn't use it, but I wouldn't classify it as "funky". I imagine there will be alot of different names at the Olympics because so many different countries and their cultures are being represented.

I don't find this name weird at all. It reminds me of Harry Potter actually. Errol was the name of the Weasley's old owl.

Not a funky name, just old fashioned. There was a 2nd grader at my elementary school last year with this name.

This is my thought too. My uncle is Errol and he's 65. Definitely not funky in my book.
