swollen feet

i had my baby shower yesterday, which was amazing and led to an overflow of stuff filling our apartment. however, when DH went to help me take my shoes off, we realized that my feet were massively swollen. they went from nothing to seriously something in the space of a day.

Eek, sorry to hear that. I had really really swollen feet the last month with DS. It was like yours in that it just happened one day. They never went back to normal for the rest of the pregnancy, and sorry to say only got worse. I was really worried but my doctor assured me it was normal. His actual words were "I've seen worse, not much worse, but worse". Drink lots of water. Try to sleep with your feet elevated (I stacked two pillows). If you have a desk job, be sure to get up and walk around and keep them elevated when you are sitting.

  • It is kind of odd but the day of my baby shower was the first day my feet swelled up. I am guessing it was just all the "junk" that I ate that day. I had a bunch of sugar and lots of bread that I do not normally eat! They went down after lots of water and elevation.
