Has anyone else still not lost all their baby weight?

I still feel huge and blubbery. :-(

Re: Has anyone else still not lost all their baby weight?

  • I still have five pounds to go. Some days I feel blubbery. Others, I feel thin. I just keep chugging away though. I knew I'd be in for a long road when I gained 50 pounds over the course of my pregnancy.

  • All?!  Not even any really.  I lost about 12 pounds just by having Lucia.  But that's what I weighed 2 weeks after her birth (when I first stepped on a scale) and it's what I still weigh now :(  I know I need to get going on real exercise, but I just don't have the time/energy.  I spend my days with Lucia and 2 other little girls (they are 10 months and 2 years now), and I feel like with all the carrying, crawling, running, walks, etc I should be losing something!  But nothing :(  We're coming up on 6 months, so I'm going to get the jogging stroller out of the box soon.

  • I have 5-6 pounds to go from the 45 I gained, but I read somewhere that if you're BF you will hold on to until you wean because your body needs the fat stores to make milk. I fit in to my pre-preg jeans but still have the flabby tummy :(

  • I gained about 35 all together, I lost 21 right away but I've been stuck at 14 left since she was 1 month old. It's all upper body, some of my pants fit except I can't button them! I feel floppy and gross

  • I am half way there.

I gained 50lbs and I have lost 25, I have 25 more to go. I am not anywhere close to my pp jeans, I am 3 sizes bigger. I workout regularly and diet...I am sloooowly losing but wish I was one of those girls that the weight just fell off post pregnancy.

Dont feel bad my doctor said it takes a full year for a womens body to bounce back from pregnancy, we are only 5-6 month past birth.

I am working on getting my self esteem back and my body back.

  • I honestly don't know what my current weight is - I would say I'm probably 5 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight but my body has definitely changed overall. I'm happy for now but hoping I can step it up and look better than i did before 2013 arrives.

I'm still about 2-3 sizes bigger than my pp pants too; have about 17 lbs to go. I workout and diet as well. The weight is coming off super sllllllllllloooooooooooooowwwwwwwww.....

:( Need to remember that it can take a full year, because starting to feel like giving up.

  • I still have 10 lbs. to go.

    I'm almost 40.

People said it would be tougher for me and I didn't believe them.

    Well...they were right.

My tummy is all loose and flabby, no matter how many ab workouts I do.

  • The scale says I am, but my clothes don't.  And my mushy belly is still front and center!

sometimes. I actually gained 10 lbs instantaneously when I stopped bfing dd. I really need to try to lose more weight because I don't want that to happen again and me be this big to start with! It was so easy to lose weight after my first. Not so much this time!

  • Thank u for this post. Everyone's response makes me feel better.  My tummy is so flabby (it wasn't a six pack before but still) and I have like 12 lbs to go to be pre preg weight.

Hello raising hand here!  I gained 50 and lost 30 within the first two weeks.  The last 20 just will not budge.  I was never athletic or fit to begin with so really what did i expect?  My OB kept saying not to gain more than 2 but I ate a lot of cupcakes!  As I am looking down and typing this I keep hitting my flabby stomach. So depressing.  If Olivia was not so darn cute I'd be really pissed.

  • 10lbs away. But stalled. Also my pp weight still had 15 lbs from my first DD hanging on. Depressing, but I don't have time to really exercise at the moment.
  • I'm about 10 from my pre-preg weight, but I was a little overweight when I got pregnant. Honestly, I'm not too worried about it since I hope to be KU again within the next 6 months. After baby #2 is done BFing, that's when my hard work will kick in to lose the weight.

  • Ha! 9 more pounds out of 44 for me. I would like to say it's the pounds hanging on from breastfeeding, but it's probably burgers and M&Ms in my case.

I have 7ish pounds to go, out of the 31 I gained. Like pp, I say it's the BFing, but really I'm pretty sure it's the chocolate chip cookies, etc. that I can't seem to say no to. I am doing a healthy living competition with some friends for August, and am really hoping that spurs me into action.

  • I have about 15ish or so pounds to go.  I gained 60 while I was preggers :(  But I don't really have anyone to blame but myself (and Chick-fil-A).  I am in a wedding August 10th and my bridesmaid dress doesn't fit :(  I was measured for it when I was 7 or 8 months pregnant so it was so hard to tell what size I would be 6 months after having Ryan.  I estimated a dress size, 1 size bigger than my pre pregnanct weight and I was wrong.  Now it's crunch time!  I have been on phetermine (perscribed speed...haha) and I have lost a few pounds here and there, but not as much as I wanted to.. .  I am also on this full body cleanse (just started today) and the last time I was on it, I lost about 5 pounds in 2 days.  Some days I feel skinny like a pencil, but more times I feel like a lump on a log...It's too hard to exercise after working a full 8 hours and getting up at 5:00am every morning!

    Good luck ladies!
