    With DS it was a surprise and with this LO it was planned, but randomly enough both were made in Vegas.

    Both this LO and DS were planned and both were on Cycle 1.  We feel very blessed but it also means that I need to get back on BC pills ASAP after this LO.  DH won't get snipped- ugh!

    I've had two surprised pregnancies, both while on BCP [not using again-getting tubes tied after this baby] and two planned pregnancies.

    Unique- we had been actively TTC, but had a miscarriage and weren't charting/actively trying. We weren't preventing either, but just needed the break- surprise!!

    Oh my gosh. Fertile Franny! What BC were you using that failed? Just curious. You don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable. I'm always amazed when it fails--- I think people think that BC automatically = no baby and just CANNOT believe when it fails.

    Sort of planned. We were directed to go to a fertility doctor for IVF and to avoid ttc "normally" anymore b/c of my 2 ectopics and 3 tubal surgeries history. So we avoided the fertile time and since I ovulated late I ended up finding out I was pregnant one day after our consultation with the fertility doc. Woulda been cheaper to find out before as the consultation was over 300 dollars, but considering we saved over 10,000 dollars not having to do IVF...I think we came out on top.

    My DH doesnt want to get snipped (I'm hoping he'll cave) but if he doesn't, I might look in to getting essure (The tubal blockage procedure)...havent decided, but I dont want to stay on the pill forever, I've already been on 12 years and I'm turning 30 soon...

    I would also consider essure.  The only thing is that I had a bad experience with my IUD and now the idea of having something "foreign" in my body kinda freaks me out.  Buuuuuut.....like you said, I don't want to be on the pill forever either.

    DD was a big shocker, but this one I wasn't to surprised but it caught him off guard completely, since we both thought I wouldn't be able to after what happened a few months ago.

    Both. We were technically ttc, but had given it a break. We literally had sex one time during the entire cycle (due to hectic work schedules and travel) and weren't expecting it at all. I'm older, and expected this to take years at least, so I was shocked.

    My last two were totally planned, but the first was a big surprise!  The original plan was to have our first right around when our second was born...so DS1 was about two years ahead of schedule.
