Another July baby has arrived!

Baby decided to make an early arrival on Thurs before his Mon scheduled induction! Thurs morning at midnight as I was getting ready for bed, I felt a big period like cramp then trickling shortly after. I thought I had peed myself until I sat on the toilet and it kept trickling and trickling. I called L&D and they told me to head on in.

When I arrived they checked me and I was 3cm then 4 hours later I was already at 8cm! Contractions started to get bad and I was ready for the epi but the labs and anesthesiologist werent ready. I really admire women who can labor through the pain. I practically begged them to hurry up. Once the epi was in, i didnt feel a thing and was even able to nap for 1hr until go time.

I pushed for 1hr30 min and had my baby at 9:30am. He was born with the cord around his neck and he wasnt crying so it was scary at first but he had good Apgar scores and is doing well overall.

The past couple of nights have been rough with trying to get his feedings in and running on little sleep but I couldnt be happier that my miracle is finally in my arms. It still feels so surreal. I truly cannot wait for all you ladies to meet your babies too!

ETA: Baby's name is Luke Alexander and he was 7lb 14oz and 21.5 inches. Will post pics when I figure out how to on my ipad.

Aww... so glad all is well! I bet the cord thing was a bit scary. Pics!!!! Congrats! hope all continues to go well.
