Babies: 0 - 3 Months

will I ever look the same "down there" (maybe TMI)

I'm 4.5 week pp.  yesterday, my friend asked me if I have looked at myself yet and I hadn't.  I took the plunge this morning and looked.  I couldn't believe how stretched out? I still looked.  I'm not in pain anymore but I dont feel quite normal.   For those of you who are farther along or are on numbet two:  will it ever go back to normal or will there be a "new" normal?

  • I'm about 4.5 weeks pp too and I haven't brought myself to look either. I had an episiotomy and the doctor wouldn't even tell me how many stitches I needed (it was a lot though). I don't know if I'll ever look the same either but I'm fine not knowing what everything looks like yet lol!

  • I haven't looked since my DD was born (3 years ago lol). I'm fine not knowing what it looks like down there. I fear it's even worse now that I had baby #2. Eek

  • I'm 8 weeks pp..and had an episiotomy....I don't even dare to look. I dont want to know.
  • DS is 3 months. He's also my second. It's a new normal but over time you won't even really notice the difference. It takes 6 weeks for the uterus to even shrink down to normal size. Give it some time.

  • Same here. I tore and didn't even ask the dr how many stitches I was scared to know-look.  I went for my check up ( dr is on vaca for 2 weeks so I went at four weeks) and it wasn't bad at all I was nervous but everything is good still some healing to do but everything is good.
