Okay so hubby and I have gotten most of our baby clothes at gently used baby consignment shops and I was wondering when we should go ahead and wash everything? Should I wait until my due date is closer or just get it done now?
I've already washed some things when I had the extra energy. Unfortunately, I feel exhausted most of the time and I'm afraid it's only going to get worse, so I try to do things when I can! We've gotten some newborn and 0-3 month sleepers that I haven't washed, though, because I don't want to take the tags off of everything and then end up with a 10 lbs. baby who doesn't fit into any of it haha So we will plan to have enough to get through a week, and then start taking tags off of things as we need them (and exchange the rest if baby grows out of it first)!!
We've bought some consignment clothes too, and I plan on waiting. I don't really want them all clean and ready just to sit and accumulate 5 months worth of dust.

This is what we plan on doing too. We also plan on washing clothes we buy and gifts, you never know who sneezed on and touched stuff with nasty fingers in the store...I'm also a little germ-a-phobic
I washed it all right away, I just threw it in with loads I was already washing so it wasn't any kind of inconvenience. I'll probably wash it all again once I accumulate more newer stuff closer to my due date, which makes little sense I know. Honestly, I think I did it more out of excitement than anything. Seeing the first of our little baby clothes has gotten us so excited!!
i say wait or just double wash now and later.imo. with dear son i washed double bagged and put in storage bins but when due date rolled around felt the need to do again , thinking about dust and the smell of bags and plastic bin. double wash might be good bc its used
