VBAC

New here

I have had two previous c-sections, the first one was "emergency" due to failure to progress after induction and fetal distress and the second one, I feel as though I was bullied into after failing to go into labor by 41 weeks.. I should have stood my ground but the doctor really caused me to doubt myself and my ability to give birth.

I'm not pregnant again yet but my husband and I are planning to try again once he gets home from his deployment this winter and I'm trying to prepare myself with as many resources and as much information as possible. I'm wondering if anyone has had a VBA2C? Any tips for finding a supportive provider who won't do the "bait and switch" once the due date rolls around, questions to ask and red flags to look for?

 TIA

  • Welcome!  A VBA2C is a tough one to accomplish, but not impossible.

Your best bet is to find your local ICAN chapter.  They will be able to tell you which doctors in the area are actually supportive and have great VBAC rates.  You should start with them and see what they say.
