What do you use to swaddle? Receiving blanket? Halo? Miracle blanket? Or anything else?
We only swaddle at night and currently using the receiving blanket. I am horrible at swaddling and feel bad to wake up DH just to have him swaddle. I'm looking for something easy but DS also likes to have his leg tight in the frog position when being swaddled.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Re: If you swaddle your LO...advice/recommendation
I also have these swaddle blankets and cannot use them as swaddle for the life of me. They are huge and I think I just don't know how to use them.
this. She falls asleep as soon as they are on.

We LOVE the Miracle Blanket swaddler. LO gets wrapped in it every night for bed. Tried the Summer Infant SwaddleMe, but I find it to be too small - if LO is anything but passed out, I can't get a good wrap. Her legs barely fit in the pocket.
The Miracle Blanket is a bit pricey (we got one at my baby shower) but I would highly recommend it. I agree with PPs - receiving blankets just aren't big enough to get a good, secure swaddle.
p.s. - if you do try the Miracle Blanket, we found that simply wrapping the fabric around her arms isn't quite enough to keep her happy. We just take the arm flaps and tuck them under her body - that way her own weight keeps her arms nice and secure and keeps her from "houdini-ing" out of them.

Sometimes I use an Aden & Anais swaddle, other times I use the Halo Swaddle Me. It sorta depends on what is working this week.
I love the A&A for warmer nights. I like to swaddle the way Harvey Karp describes it in "Happiest Baby on the Block," combined with the technique I found on YouTube -- look up "Escape Proof Swaddling."
