Just curious. I've heard people say, "I have such an easy baby!" That
is definitely NOT how I'd describe LO. It seems like if he's awake he's
fussy or crying. The quiet moments are very few and far between.[Poll]

DD cries when she has a reason, but during her evening fussy time, all bets are off. She becomes a gremlin! lol
It all depends on how much sleep she gets.
Natalie fusses any time she's awake. Not all out crying, and not very loud, but CONSTANT. She has reflux and bad gas problems, though...so that's mostly to blame. She's always grunting and straining and "talking to us" about it!
She only really cries to be fed. Never cries about dirty/wet diapers, etc.
"I have a very high maintenance baby...super fussy, crying, etc. when awake."
This made me laugh... DS2 is supper fussy "when awake" which is a lot because DS2 doesn't sleep well... boo reflux and milk intolerance!

We are very lucky---DS thankfully is super-mellow. I have an almost four year old DD and while she wasn't too difficult, she definitely would have crying jags during the "witching hour," would sometimes be fussy for indeterminate reasons. DS basically cries for two reasons....he's hungry or he wants to be picked up. As soon as you pick him up he'll stop crying and start grinning at you. He'll sit on my husband's lap or in the baby carrier happily for a couple hours. You can even put him to bed awake and he'll sometimes drift off on his own (sometimes I do have to nurse him a bit more or stick in a pacifier). DD would NEVER do that.
I fully credit my husband's calm demeanor for having such an easy baby. He is also super-mellow, whereas I am more prone to anxiety. I think it's just an inborn trait. Also, I'm sure being second-time parents helps.
