How many to buy?

My first baby is due in Oct. and I have been slowly stocking up on CDs. How many did you buy before your baby was born? I've been buying a variety of newborn diapers b/c I don't know what brand will work best for her, but I don't know how many of each I should be getting. What was your total before birth? Help, please and thank you!

For the first month:

24 prefolds

4 covers

4 lil joeys **** love love love****

Starting week 5

20 pockets

I wash every other day. I currently wish I had a few more, but I'm a first time mom of 5 weeks, so I'm still building my stash. I also have 24 reusable wipes and wish I had a few more.

I had:

4 GroVia AIO

36 prefolds (3 sets of 12 of different sizes ranging 5-15 lbs... at any given time in the first 2 months she would fit 12-24 of them...the big were too big at first, smaller were too small quickly)

2 bummis nb superbrite

2 x-small thirsties

2 thirsties duo wraps

1 bummis small superbrite

3 snappis

I also ordered 3 pure and naturals from kawaii after she was born because it took DH a while to get used to the prefolds.

you'll need a couple of wetbags and a pail liner

We have just under 40 (with covers and prefolds) and find that 30 is more than enough. I would say 24/25 is a comfortable minimum.
