Round ligament pain. Anyone?

If so, what does it feel like for you.

Re: Round ligament pain. Anyone?

  • It kind of feels like a pulling type pain to me-- mostly when I twist a strange way.

  • Haven't felt it yet with this one but in previous pregnancies it is a sharp knife like stabbing feeling if I moved to quick. It sometimes was extremely painful, bringing tears to my eyes. Thank goodness it doesn't last to long.
  • When I stand up or roll over too fast I feel like I pulled my uterus.

  • I really only notice it if I'm standing or laying flat & cough/sneeze. It feels like getting punched in the ovaries! FWIW, curling up or bending forward lessen the effect drastically.

  • For me I would feel it more in my left side even though my dr. said I should feel it more in my right. I would get this burning stabby sensation low and to the left of my belly button. On my right side it would just feel achy and kind of crampy.

  • I have felt the stabby pain in my ovary area, but I have been feeling it more so in the pelvic region.  I think that's RLP??  I felt it around 19 weeks last time and the doctor confirmed it as RLP.  This is much much stronger.

  • A Charlie horse in my lower ride side if I move too quickly, or random shooting pains on my right side that radiate into my pubic bone. Good times.

  • Others described it pretty accurately.  For me, I notice it most in the middle of the night.  I toss and turn all night, which causes it a lot.  It will wake me up because of how sharp the pain is.  I also notice it if I stand up too fast from a sitting position.  I am feeling it much earlier this time around than I did with my first.
