I am moving into an apartment next weekend and just bought a washer and dryer on craigslist for $125. The guy is going to deliver it to my apartment on the day we move in, and our movers will move it up to my second floor apartment. I'm a little nervous because I'm not going to see it before hand, but the guy guarantees it works, and for the low cost, I'm taking the risk. (I don't have much of a choice because I don't have any other way to move appliances of that size into my apartment without movers, and I can't see it before hand because I am two and a half hours away). Hope it all pays off!
My sister is a craigslist pro and buys (and sells) through the site alllll the time. We bought a flattop stove from the site once and had a good experience. What have been your best craigslist buys?
Re: best craigslist buys?
I sold P's jumperoo on CL for $40.
I troll the site looking for deal but sometimes, the best deal is to just not buy anything.
I also sold my car on CL, and currently have my western show saddle up on there!
I love craigslist! Our best buy so far has been a pair of wireless headphones for the TV for after LO goes to bed. Never has anything been used so much in our house!
I look all the time but never find anything good. I feel like a lot of the time people are selling really outdated stuff for way too much money. Like a PnP that's clearly from the 80s for like $25. I'm like please you couldn't give that crap away.
It might just be the area I live in though. New Englanders are never out to help out a fellow neighbor, just trying to screw people over for personal gain.
Our best were baby related...
-brand new in the box crib for $100 and they threw in the changing table for free
-rocker/glider for Brody's room for $10

Nice! We have had a little luck, our best CL finds are probably my Dyson, the kids 14' trampoline, and the triplets first "big kid" bikes, with training wheels LOL.
