Bella Baby Photography

If anyone used Bella Baby Photography in the hospital, what were the prices like? I'm just wondering if they do it for free because the prints are going to be super expensive! Also, did you get some good pics? Thanks!

Re: Bella Baby Photography

  • some okay pics - but it was $65 for the chepest - 1 pose, 3prints!

I set up a photographer to come to the house and it was $350 for the rights to all the beautiful pics of my whole family!

  • Yes, it was free. The prints were very expensive but the pictures did come out very well, and the problem is you won't be able to resist buying a few because of the sentimental value.

  • you can buy the rights and high resolution pics to the whole mini-shoot they offer free in the hospita (so we could give them to family and buy our own prints). But yeah, I think it was $350 or so. If you have time/energy to have a photog come to your place and still give you the high-res digital files, it would totally be worth it.

  • Wow good to know! Thank you!
  • with DD#1 we paid ~$150 for the Bella Baby CD in the hospital.  I thought that was fairly reasonable and the pictures were good.  It's much cheaper there, than their prices outside of the hospital, which run like $400 a session. I would have done it again with #2, except I was at a crappy hospital and Bella doesn't even come there.  So, we went to Picture People and got their Father's Day special which had prints, the high res CD and a frame for the same price.

  • I have had a wonderful experience with Bella Baby with both of my kids! I think the full CD with printing rights was about $125.  To me it is TOTALLY worth it.  Not only are they sentimental but it is so convenient for them to come to you while you are still in the hospital and when LO is so new! It is totally free for them to come take your pics and they offer a link online in case you change your mind about buying them.  Definitely give them a try! Oh, and bring a cute receiving blanket or something to wrap baby up in for pics!

  • They did an AMAZING job for us.  It was $125 for the CD in the hospital.  We had them come to the house the following week.  It was $125 sitting fee and we had to buy a package and cd for $200.    Our photographer was so good though.
  • We used them for our son.  It did not cost anything for the session at the hospital.  And then my mother bought the rights to the pictures on a disk.  Those pictues were really a treasure.

We had a session for our daughter, but unfortunately those pictures did not turn out very well.  So we did not buy anything from Bella Baby.  We just kept taking pictures.  And then I set up a baby girl announcement on shutterfly.com.

I am hoping to eventually get more professional pictures of both of my kids.

  • $135 for digital download of high-res images - totally worth it.
  • They took awesome pics. I agree that the prints are expensive - but I thought they did a great job.
  • Does this mean you're all in NY or are they a much bigger business than I thought?
  • We used them in the hospital.  The sitting was free and it felt a little rushed, but I loved the results.  They say they give you 20ish edited pics to pick from.  I got the digital images for $150.  I was so glad we went with them because then I had professional pics done and I didn't have to do any work.  No hiring a photographer, and scheduling for them to come to the house ASAP, so that I can have pics to send announcements, blahblahblah.  They were done the day we left the hospital and posted by midnight that night.

I've attached a few for you to see some of their work (and to AW how cute my DS is!!). :)

  • I'm in NYC. Purchased the digital files after I saw the proofs and I'm pretty sure it was $195 + $10 for all images in b&w as well. While I agree the prints are overpriced, I was pleasantly surprised with the cost of he digital files.
  • Does anyone have a coupon code?

  • It really depends on the photographer you get.  With DD, the photographer was amazing.  She was with us a long time and took some really beautiful pictures.  We ended up buying the CD.  I remember thinking the CD was pretty reasonable.  Prints are crazy expensive.

With DS we got an ok photographer and she took ok pictures.
