So I saw a new RE today. We discussed my options. I also found out that I have only done 5 cycles of Clomid, so she wants me to do two more of the max dose combined with my Met to see if we get results again.
I am also going to trial a potential new protocol for women with PCOS in my office. I'm going to start the clomid without inducing my period. So, say I wanted to start it today, today would be my potential day 5. And we will go from there. Apparently there is a study saying women with PCOS have a poorer response to clomid when the cycle was induced by Provera.
All in all, I am very excited and feel like I made the right decision switching RE's. she specializes in PCOS and was super easy to talk to.
I brought that up. But she said its fine and that it's if you don't respond -after 6 cycles then you probably won't. But since I responded before, she wants to give my body a fair shot.
Re: New RE
Glad you found a doctor you like. Is your doctor concerned that you will be doing a total of 7 cycles of Clomid when the limit is 6?
Good luck with this cycle!
